Meanwhile, Staunton River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of William Campbell.

Staunton River's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Christiansburg, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 5-16.

Christiansburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Staunton River in their previous meeting last Monday, sneaking past 50-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christiansburg since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
