Quarterback Faizon Brandon of Grimsley (Greensboro, N.C.) is the No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2026 according to 247Sports, which released its rankings Wednesday for the current crop of sophomores.

Brandon threw for 3,026 yards and 36 touchdowns against just three interceptions during the 2023 season. He also ran for 528 yards and nine scores.

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound signal caller helped Grimsley go 13-1 with the only loss coming in the fourth round of Class 4A state playoffs to eventual champion Weddington (Matthews).
