Volleyball Recap: Randolph Comes Up Short

If Randolph was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Walthill on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Randolph lost 3-0 to St. Mary on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for Randolph in their meetings with St. Mary's: they've now lost four in a row.

Randolph took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-11, 25-13.

Mabel Ngebeh paced Randolph's offense, picking up four kills. Ngebeh got some help from Ella Graf and her eight assists.

Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for St. Mary's, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Looking ahead, Randolph will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Creighton at 7:00 p.m. St. Mary's has already played their next matchup (against Stuart), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
