Volleyball Game Preview: St. Agnes Aggies vs. St. Croix Prep Lions

St. Agnes is 1-9 against St. Croix Prep since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Aggies will face off against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. St. Agnes will be strutting in after a win while St. Croix Prep will be coming in after a defeat.

St. Agnes not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 22nd (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Washington Tech as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Aggies.

Meanwhile, St. Croix Prep came up short against Concordia Academy last Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Beacons recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

While St. Croix Prep had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 25-23.

St. Agnes' win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for St. Croix Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

St. Agnes couldn't quite get it done against St. Croix Prep in their previous matchup on October 2nd as they fell 3-1. Can the Aggies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
