Softball Recap: Johnsburg Comes Up Short

Johnsburg lost against Woodstock North back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Skyhawks lost 13-3 to the Thunder. That's two games in a row now that the Skyhawks have lost by exactly ten runs.

Kimmy Whitlock made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Johnsburg and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Woodstock North, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Johnsburg will square off against rival Woodstock at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. Meanwhile, Woodstock North is set to challenge their familiar foe Harvard at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
