Basketball Game Preview: Jordan-Matthews Jets vs. Phoenix Academy Firebirds

The Jordan-Matthews Jets just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Phoenix Academy Firebirds at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Jordan-Matthews will be strutting in after a victory while Phoenix Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Jordan-Matthews will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Cummings, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Jordan-Matthews came out on top against Cummings by a score of 55-47 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Burlington Christian Academy 93-46. While losing is never fun, the Firebirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 566th, while the Royals are ranked 75th).

Jordan-Matthews' win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Phoenix Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
