Volleyball Recap: River Islands Has No Trouble Against Millennium

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ben Holt College Prep Academy, River Islands was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Millennium Falcons as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

While River Islands won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-22, 25-17.

River Islands found their leader in sophomore Taray Irving, who had 12 digs.

River Islands' victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Millennium, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Islands will welcome Chavez at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Millennium, they will be playing at home against Aspire Langston Hughes Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
