Volleyball Recap: Sand Creek Scorpions vs. Rampart Rams
Sand Creek unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Rampart Rams on Thursday, falling 3-0.
Sand Creek was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.
Joseph Tran paced Sand Creek's offense, picking up nine kills. Tran got some help from Zane Ocanas and his 13 assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rampart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Paurus, who had seven digs, three blocks, and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Keaton Klich, who had 15 digs and two assists.
Sand Creek has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Pueblo South on the 28th. As for Rampart, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Cheyenne Mountain on the 1st.
