Football Recap: Hunterdon Central Takes a Loss

Hunterdon Central extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-5. They lost 33-8 to the Hillsborough Raiders. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Hillsborough, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. That looming 33-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Andrew Schwarz had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 178 yards while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Hillsborough's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 4-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Zion Grant was in the mix too, providing the Raiders with two TDs.

As of now, neither Hunterdon Central nor Hillsborough have any future games scheduled.
