Basketball Recap: West Fork Comes Up Short

West Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Splendora Wildcats an easy 75-55 win. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gators of the 47-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Splendora to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tramaine Jackson, who went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Brock Kirby, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points and three steals.

West Fork suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 8-6. As for Splendora, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

West Fork will look to defend their home court on Friday against Kingwood Park at 7:00 p.m. As for Splendora, they will head out to square off against Dayton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Splendora comes in on three and Dayton on four.
