Basketball Game Preview: Evanston Wildkits vs. Glenbrook South Titans

Evanston and Glenbrook South are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Evanston Wildkits will take on the Glenbrook South Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Saturday, Evanston took their match with ease, bagging a 67-38 victory over Warren Township. Given the Wildkits' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 397th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook South strolled past Lake Park with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 63-49.

Evanston has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-17 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Glenbrook South, their win bumped their record up to 20-9.

Evanston ended up a good deal behind Glenbrook South in their previous matchup back in January, losing 58-44. Can Evanston avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
