Volleyball Recap: Alleman Pioneers vs. Sterling Golden Warriors        
        
		
             Alleman was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They fell just short of the Sterling Golden Warriors by a score of  2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pioneers of the  0-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2023.
 In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Alleman sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25,  25-23.
 Alleman lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Megan Hulke, who  had nine  kills, nine  digs, two  aces,  and two  aces. That's the most  aces  Hulke has posted  in  her last four  matches. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ashley Wood, who  had 14  digs, eight  kills,  and eight  kills.
 Alleman's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Sterling, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4-2.
 Alleman is taking a road trip to  take on Morrison  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Morrison is coming into the  contest with six straight  defeats at home,  meaning Alleman will have to defend against a  squad hungry for a  win. As for Sterling, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  1-1  tie vs. Hall on the 28th.
