Soccer Preview: Hampshire and Jacobs Square Off

The Hampshire Whip-Purs will challenge the Jacobs Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Friday just wasn't the day for Hampshire's offense. They fell 2-0 to South Elgin.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jacobs). Everything went their way against Cary-Grove on Tuesday as they made off with an 8-0 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Jacobs with their most commanding win of the season.

Jacobs is now 7-11-1, having gone 2-1 since their four-game losing streak ended. As for Hampshire, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4-4.
