Basketball Recap: Syracuse Takes a Loss

After flying high against Malcolm last Tuesday, Syracuse came back down to earth. The game between the Syracuse Rockets and the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors didn't end well, with the Syracuse Rockets falling 54-35. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost seven in a row.

Jacob Duitsman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lincoln Lutheran, shooting 54% from the field on his way to 19 points along with six boards and four steals. Duitsman is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Grant Stowell, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Syracuse's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Lincoln Lutheran, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Syracuse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincoln Lutheran, they will square off against Lincoln Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
