Baseball Recap: Big Bear Falls Short of Hesperia Christian in the Playoffs

Big Bear and Hesperia Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Big Bear had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Brayden Benson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Chase Wilson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Big Bear has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Hesperia Christian, they pushed their record up to 13-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
