Basketball Game Preview: C. Milton Wright Mustangs vs. Aberdeen Eagles

The C. Milton Wright Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Aberdeen Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While C. Milton Wright didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past Joppatowne with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 39-22. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aberdeen). They blew past Bohemia Manor, posting a 66-24 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Aberdeen with their most commanding win of the season.

C. Milton Wright pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.2 points per game. As for Aberdeen, they moved to 4-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

C. Milton Wright strolled past Aberdeen when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 63-44. Will C. Milton Wright repeat their success, or does Aberdeen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
