Volleyball Recap: Sheridan Beats Lapel for Their Third Straight Victory

It's playoff time, and Sheridan had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a set and slipped past the Lapel Bulldogs 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Blackhawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lainey Mendenhall paced Sheridan's offense, picking up 26 kills. Mendenhall got some help from Adria Jump and her 38 assists. Jump was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Sheridan's win bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Lapel, with the loss, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 25-9.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Sheridan and Benton Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lapel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
