Softball Recap: Cashton Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cashton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Luther Knights by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Cashton's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10-1. As for Luther, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-11.

Cashton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Luther, they will challenge Melrose-Mindoro on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
