Byrd hadn't done well against Stanley recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Yellow Jackets managed a 30-25 victory over the Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Yellow Jackets: when they faced off against the Panthers back in November of 2025, they had to take a 44-31 loss.

Byrd's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Stanley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
