Baseball Recap: Quabbin Regional Comes Up Short

Quabbin Regional was the 10-6 winner over Narragansett Regional when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 5-4 on Monday.

Quabbin Regional saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Warfield, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Quabbin Regional has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Narragansett Regional, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.

Coming up, Quabbin Regional will welcome South at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Narragansett Regional, they will head out to challenge North at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
