Pinellas Park extends home losing streak to 14

Recap: Pinellas Park Patriots vs. Gibbs Gladiators

The Pinellas Park Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Gibbs at home and fell 85-24. Pinellas Park was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-10.

Despite the defeat, Pinellas Park saw an underclassman step up: Amir Saheed scored five points along with nine rebounds.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pinellas Park struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Gibbs racked up 19 assists.

Leading Gibbs to victory were Jacob Daniels and Oneal Delancy. Daniels scored 13 points along with seven assists, while Delancy scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Atron Eubanks, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Pinellas Park bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home. As for Gibbs, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinellas Park will face off against Largo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Largo presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pinellas Park in Florida (Largo is ranked 272nd, while Pinellas Park is ranked 688th). Gibbs' road trip will continue as they head out to face Calvary Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Calvary Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
