Lucas's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mansfield Christian Flames 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cubs have posted since August 17, 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (103-102) Lucas actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 23-25, 14-25, 25-22, 25-21, 15-10.

Despite the loss, Mansfield Christian still got an impressive performance from Nora Cook, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Lucas' victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Mansfield Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
