Basketball Recap: Cedar Grove Takes a Loss

Cedar Grove lost against Verona back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cedar Grove Panthers came up short against the Verona Hillbillies, falling 37-13. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cedar Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Verona, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cedar Grove Panthers duke it out with the Columbia Cougars at 11:30 a.m. on January 4, 2025. Columbia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Verona, they will square off against West Essex at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Verona's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so West Essex's offense will have their work cut out for them.
