Baseball Recap: Enumclaw Makes It 16 in a Row on the Road

Enumclaw owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Kentlake Falcons 1-0. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Falcons last Friday, they had to take a 8-5 loss.

The team relied heavily on Cole Chiechi, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Eli Murphy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Enumclaw pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Kentlake, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-4.
