Basketball Recap: Reedsport Takes a Loss

Reedsport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Illinois Valley Cougars 69-15. Reedsport was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Illinois Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Reedsport's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Illinois Valley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13.

Reedsport and Illinois Valley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Reedsport will face off against Bandon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 181 places (258 vs. 77). Similarly, Illinois Valley (ranked 221st) will meet Myrtle Point (ranked 104th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
