Baseball Recap: Drumright Comes Up Short

Drumright came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-7 to the Liberty Tigers. The Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Conrad Reed made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Drumright's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-11 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Fisher, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Drumright's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Liberty, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8.

Coming up, Drumright will challenge Agra at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will take on Mounds at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
