Baseball Recap: Taylor Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Taylor and Burnet, and Burnet kept the tradition alive. The Ducks came up short against the Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 11-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Ducks have suffered against the Bulldogs since April 20, 2015.

Taylor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Stromberg, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Mason Sunvison was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Taylor's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-14-1. As for Burnet, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

While Taylor had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
