Basketball Recap: Sun Valley Spartans vs. Parkwood Wolf Pack

If Sun Valley was riding high fresh off their 55-26 takedown of Gray Stone Day on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell 67-55 to the Parkwood Wolf Pack on Wednesday. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolf Pack apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah McKinney, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Jeffery, who earned 11 points.

Nehemiah Davis was nothing short of spectacular for Parkwood: he went 8-for-14 en route to 26 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. What's more, Davis also posted a 45% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Anwar Bit was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards.

Sun Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Sun Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-47 defeat against Butler on the 25th. As for Parkwood, they have also already played their next matchup, a 67-62 win against Ballantyne Ridge on the 21st.
