Volleyball Recap: Cordova Takes a Loss

Cordova was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Park Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 1st.

Cordova started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-19.

West Park can attribute much of their success to Vince Sison, who had 13 digs and four assists. Daniel Tarasov also deserves some recognition as he had his first dig of the season.

Cordova's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for West Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Cordova nor West Park have any future games scheduled.
