Volleyball Game Preview: Roxboro Community Bulldogs vs. Falls Lake Firebirds + How To Watch

Roxboro Community hasn't had much luck against Falls Lake recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Firebirds at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Falls Lake will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Roxboro Community extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Triangle Math & Science.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Roxboro Community took every set by at least 18 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-7, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Falls Lake made easy work of Excelsior Classical Academy on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Falls Lake was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-8.

Falls Lake's win came from a few key players Roxboro Community will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Maggie Penn, who had 17 digs and five assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six games. Addison Buffaloe was another key player, getting 13 assists and two aces.

Roxboro Community's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Falls Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
