Highland strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tallmadge Blue Devils a 5-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Casey Myser was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Peyton Ganda, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Highland pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tallmadge, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Highland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blue Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
