Preview: Hondo Owls vs. Cotulla Cowboys
Hondo is 3-0 against Cotulla since November of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Hondo Owls will head out on the road to challenge the Cotulla Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. Hondo has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29.
Last Friday, Hondo ended up a good deal behind Natalia and lost 66-48.
Cotulla was handed a 43-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Dilley on Friday. Cotulla narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Dilley 54-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Cotulla has posted yet this season.
Hondo bumped their record down to 7-21 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Cotulla, their victory bumped their record up to 3-15.
Hondo strolled past Cotulla in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 51-34. Will Hondo repeat their success, or does Cotulla have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
