Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McDonogh). They walked away with a 66-57 victory over the St. Mary's Saints on Monday. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 57-33 win the Saints walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.

St. Mary's lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gavin Johnson, who posted 15 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Chisom Eze, who had 12 points and six rebounds.

The victory got McDonogh back to even at 2-2. As for St. Mary's, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

McDonogh has already played their next matchup (against Glenelg Country), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for St. Mary's, they have also already played their next game, a 75-52 loss against Mount St. Joseph on the 10th.
