Basketball Recap: Brentwood Academy Comes Up Short

Brentwood Academy was the 53-33 winner over Montgomery Bell Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Brentwood Academy Eagles took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Montgomery Bell Academy Big Red on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Big Red are ranked fourth).

Brentwood Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for Montgomery Bell Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4.

While Brentwood Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
