Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] came tearing into Friday's contest with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Worth County Tigers 65-35. Given Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt]'s advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Worth County is ranked 397th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Audrey Runde, who posted seven points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Runde a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Kristen Tracy, who had 12 points.

Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt]'s victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points per game. As for Worth County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
