Softball Recap: Waterford Takes a Loss

Waterford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-0 to the Le Grand Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 back in March.

Waterford's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Le Grand, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Coming up, Waterford will venture away from home to square off against Mariposa County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Grizzlies have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Le Grand, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Firebaugh at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
