After a string of five wins, Grand Lake's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 41-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pickering Red Devils. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.

Grand Lake's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Pickering, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand Lake will face off against Bolton Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pickering, they will challenge Anacoco at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
