Soccer Recap: Grenada vs. South Panola
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Corinth, Grenada was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the South Panola Tigers onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Brayden Neathery and Aaron Hanley scored both of Grenada's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.
Grenada's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-6. As for South Panola, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grenada will head out to face off against Olive Branch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Panola, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lake Cormorant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
