Football Recap: Arizona Lutheran Academy Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Arizona Lutheran Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 58-6 win over the Chino Valley Cougars.

Arizona Lutheran Academy had a senior duo take command as Eric Urbieta gained 140 total yards and three touchdowns and Sebi Guye rushed for 103 yards and one score on only six carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 57 yards.

One reason for the win was Arizona Lutheran Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Dontay Bell, Braeden Goudeau, and Aiden Frear, who each picked up one sack apiece. Guye got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arizona Lutheran Academy will host Willcox at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chino Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
