Volleyball Recap: Ottumwa Takes a Loss

Ottumwa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Davis County Mustangs. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Ottumwa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Davis County, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Ottumwa will welcome Ames at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Davis County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Knoxville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
