Glenelg is 8-2 against Marriotts Ridge since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Gladiators will head out to square off against Marriotts Ridge at 4:00 p.m. Glenelg's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Marriotts Ridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Glenelg got the win against Atholton by a conclusive 11-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gladiators.

Meanwhile, Marriotts Ridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Lightning by a score of 6-3.

Liv Ober was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Ober was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gianna Peluso, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Tasch, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Glenelg's record is now 4-2. As for Marriotts Ridge, their record now sits at 6-1.

Glenelg took their win against Marriotts Ridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gladiators since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
