Mia Maxel Game Report: vs South Bend Riley

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Mia Maxel stepped things up a notch to give La Porte the 'W'. Maxel turned in nothing short of a gem, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

Coming up, Maxel and La Porte will face off against Penn at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Slicers haven't beaten the Kingsmen recently, having gone 0-5 since May of 2016.
