Baseball Recap: Williamson Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Five must be Williamson's lucky number: they beat Gananda Central with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Marauders beat the Blue Panthers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-4. Surprisingly, this marked the Marauders' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Williamson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Gananda Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williamson will welcome East Rochester at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bombers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Marauders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Gananda Central, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Marion at 4:30 p.m. The Blue Panthers are facing the Black Knights at the right time seeing as the Black Knights are stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
