Volleyball Game Preview: Legacy Lions vs. Boca Raton Bobcats

The Legacy Lions will face off against the Boca Raton Bobcats at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Legacy saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Seminole Ridge.

Legacy can attribute much of their success to Kherington Neikirk, who had 11 digs, and Paisley Woods, who had seven digs and one assist. That's the most digs Neikirk has posted since back in August. Sophia Spychalla also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Boca Raton posted their closest victory since October 30, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Seminole Ridge 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Boca Raton got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 21-25, 15-11.

Boca Raton's victory ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-7. As for Legacy, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
