Volleyball Recap: Alexcis Barrows and Reise Grant Secure Win for Zane Trace

Zane Trace won the last time they faced Jackson and things went their way on Monday too. The Pioneers came out on top against the Ironman/Ironladies by a score of 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-17, 23-25, 25-19, 25-16.

Zane Trace was led to victory by Reise Grant and Alexcis Barrows. Grant had 15 digs and three assists, while Barrows had nine digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Barrows a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Zane Trace was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Jackson lost, don't look at Jayla Downard. Despite the final result, she had seven digs and one assist.

Zane Trace is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Jackson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Coming up, Zane Trace will challenge Southeastern at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson, they will venture away from home to face off against Wheelersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
