Basketball Recap: Abrianna Chianelli Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Banning Lewis Academy

Rye won the last time they faced Banning Lewis Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Rye Thunderbolts walked away with a 45-34 victory over the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions.

Rye's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abrianna Chianelli led the charge by dropping a double-double with ten points and 12 boards. That's the most points Chianelli has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Taci Ehrlich, who put up 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.
