Basketball Game Preview: Windham Eagles vs. Scarborough Red Storm

The Windham Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Scarborough Red Storm at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Windham will be strutting in after a victory while Scarborough will be coming in after a defeat.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Windham took on Marshwood on Thursday. Windham snuck past Marshwood with a 68-62 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Hawks are ranked 47th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Scarborough lost to Noble on the road by a 63-46 margin on Thursday. The game marked the Red Storm's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Windham pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Scarborough, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Windham beat Scarborough 49-41 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windham since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
