Recap: Windsor Wizards vs. Centaurus Warriors
In what's become a running theme this season, the Windsor Wizards gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 65-31 win over Centaurus. The victory was familiar territory for Windsor who now have five in a row.
Tadese Keyworth was the offensive standout of the matchup as he went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 5 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. John Backhaus was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Centaurus' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Antuan Vargas, who scored 12 points.
Centaurus struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Windsor's victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Centaurus, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Windsor will play host again and welcome Mead, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Mead is ranked 28th, while Windsor is ranked 33rd). Centaurus will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Greeley Central at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Greeley Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
