If Gregory wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Burke, they should've done a better job of containing Emmie Hausmann. The Burke Cougars breezed past the Gregory Gorillas to the tune of 62-31 on Thursday thanks in part to Hausmann, who to rack up 23 points and five steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

Another player making a difference was Annie Connot, who on her way to 17 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Gregory's loss came despite strong showings from Dani Vanderwerff and Allison Stevicks. Vanderwerff en route to 14 points, while Stevicks posted five points and five boards. That was a full 45.2% of Gregory's points, marking the eighth time in a row Vanderwerff has scored more than a third of the team's points.

Burke's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Gregory, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-14.

Burke has already played their next game, a 68-49 win against Marty Indian on the 25th. As for Gregory, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 43-39 victory against Bon Homme on the 21st.
