While Unity's win against Cumberland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Beavers 6-5. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Uriah Fugate was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Xavier Nadeau was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Unity's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Cumberland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-1.

Looking ahead, Unity will challenge Spooner at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cumberland, they will host Ladysmith at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lumberjacks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.71 runs per game on average), something the Beavers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
